New Beginnings Assembly Hall - West Frankfort, Illinois

Picture
One of the wildest events to date took place at New Beginnings Assembly in West Frankfort, IL. Over 145 fans came out to see 2 of the Midwest’s premiere wrestlers square off for the AAPW Heavyweight Title.

In the opening bout, Sean Vincent came to the ring waving the Canadian flag and insulting America and the AAPW fans. His opponent, K.C. Jackson, was carrying OLD GLORY to the fans delight. Jackson got the victory in a fast paced opener.

In the 2nd bout of the evening, "Thee" Brandon Espinosa secured a win over the impressive rookie, Xavier Cage. Upset with the loss, Cage went to take out his frustrations on a battered and exhausted Espinosa. Mike Masters, one half of the AAPW tag team champions and no stranger to Espinosa, came to the ring. It appeared as if Masters was there to assist Cage but to the delight of the fans he was there in support of Espinosa. Apparently, Espinosa has earned Master's respect.

Mark Sterling fought a long and brutal battle with PWI Rookie of the year Mike Sydal. Sterling forced Sydal to tap out for the win.

Heath Hatton teamed with El Magnifico to face "Playboy" Paul Rose and Carnage in a tag team bout. Hatton continues to show signs of improvement as he and Magnifico gained the early advantage in the match. Hatton's inexperience showed as Rose and Carnage were able to seal off Hatton from his partner through most of the match. In a last ditch effort, Hatton hit Carnage with a DDT and was able to tag Magnifico. It appeared Magnifico was in control when Rose's manager, Gaylord Stevens, tossed an umbrella to Rose. Referee Brad Smithson pulled the umbrella from Rose's hands and inadvertantly struck Magnifico in the face. Rose took advantage for the win.

Mike Masters and Ax Allwardt continued their fued. Allwardt, one half of the former AAPW tag team Champions, Old School Thunder, is itching for another shot at the tag titles. On this night, Masters was the victor.

Edmund "Livewire" McGuire came out hot tonight, still fuming over how Shane Rich cost him the AAPW title last month. With Rich suspended, McGuire looked to take out his frustrations on another nemesis, "Bad Boy" Chris Thomas. McGuire gained the victory but this feud is far from over.

All American Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship Match
The match everyone came to see, "The Rebel" Jeremy Wyatt challenging AAPW heavyweight Champion Mississippi Madman was a shocker. Wyatt showed that even though outweighed by over 200 pounds, he still brought it to the AAPW champ. Fans were extremely vocal with their hatred of Wyatt throughout the match. It appeared as though Madman finally had Wyatt down for the 3 count when Mark Sterling hit the ring. Both Wyatt and Sterling laid a viscous attack on the champion. Madman retained his title when the referee disqualified Wyatt. K.C. Jackson finally came to the ring with a chair to stop the onslaught. As Sterling and Wyatt exited the ring, many fans were shouting insults and Wyatt and Sterling had a few things of their own to say. A mob of fans followed Wyatt and Sterling almost all the way to the locker room area until stopped by security!  Several fans made threats to the wrestlers. Both Wyatt and Sterling had to have a police escort from the building for their safety.

Mississippi Madman and K.C. Jackson have challenged Sterling and Wyatt to a tag team match in the near future. Check back to find out when and where this match will take place.
