Chester Music Patrons Fundraiser
"Da Bomb" Brian James and his opponent, Shawn Shultz, kicked off the event with a BANG. No matter what Shultz did, he could not seem to get the upper hand on the bigger and stronger James. Shultz finally pulled James out of the ring onto the floor and the fight was on. Shultz cocky and arrogant attitude proved to be his downfall as James pinned him with an inside cradle.
The Lonrs (Mark Sterling & Darrien Sanders) made their return to AAPW. Their opponents, Mike Masters and "The All American" J.T. Calhoun. About 5 minutes into the match, The Lonrs were able to isolate Masters from his partner. Masters took a beating! Finally, Masters was able to get away and escape to the outside of the ring. Masters, who has shown bouts of frustration over the last few months, got into a verbal altercation with Calhoun and walked away from the ring leaving "The All American" to face the Lonrs by himself! Fans were disgusted as Masters stood in the entranceway and watched his partner being double teamed. Masters came back to the ring, reached out for the tag but at the last moment, pulled his hand away and walked back to the locker room. The Lonrs used this as an opportunity to punish Calhoun until Sterling applied a sharpshooter to Calhoun. Calhoun passed out from the pain and The Lonrs received their first victory in AAPW. The Lonrs are ALREADY demanding a shot at the tag titles held by The Phoenix Twins!!!
The 3rd match of the evening featured a battle of superheavyweights. But not just any ordinary big men, "Playboy" Paul Rose took on "The Future" Donovan Ruddick. Both of whom are very athletic! "The Future" proved to be the better man by defeating Rose with "A taste of Destiny" slam!
Last month in West Frankfort, Edmund "Livewire" McGuire suffered a flat aggravated battery from Ax Stevens. "Livewire" came out looking for revenge. As the referee was knocked down late in the match, Ax grabbed his chain and went towards "Livewire". Livewire was able to turn the tables and Ax was choked with his own chain. Manager Gaylord Stevens entered the ring and grabbed Livewire from behind. Livewire ducked a clothesline from Ax which struck his manager. Livewire had Ax set up for a top rope leg drop. Ax moved at the last second causing Livewire to miss. Ax then finished off Livewire with his patented Piledriver for the win.
1 Brett Young and Hardcore K.C. Jackson came to the ring demanding competition. Both continued to berate and insult the fans and attempted to intimidate promoter, Sean Chambers. Chambers, fed up with their behavior, called "The Atomic Dogg" Ali Stevens to the ring and announced he would be their opponent. Dogg was more than up for the challenge! Jackson and Young double teamed the Dogg throughout the match. They even used every dirty trick in the book to take the Dogg down but not out. Dogg prevailed by defeating both his opponents with his "Doggie Splash".
AAPW Heavyweight Championship Match
In the main event, former AAPW Champion, "Homicidal" Steven Davis received his 1 on 1 rematch with current champ, "The Serial Thriller" Shane Rich. As always, the match was filled with great technical wrestling, high flying, and brawling. Both men pulled out all the stops. As Rich went for a moonsault off the top turnbuckle, Davis moved out of the way. Rich, landed on his feat but could not avoid a vicious spear from Davis which got Davis the win.
