Mascoutah, Illinois
The show began with promoter Sean Chambers calling Ax Allwardt to the ring. Chambers asked Allwardt where his tag team partner, "Thunderbolt" Brandon Walker, was. Ax stated "It's not my night to babysit him!". Allwardt then went on to state that since his partner was not at the event, they would need to postpone their tag team title defense until another night. Chambers informed Allwardt that he and Walker knew well in advance that they were to defend the titles in a Ladder match against former champions, The Money Makin' Jam Boys. Since Walker had not arrived, Chambers stated he must make an example. Chambers STRIPPED THE TITLES from Old School Thunder! Allwardt was irrate! Chambers then gave Allwardt a reprieve. He informed Allwardt that the fans of Mascoutah were promised a tag team ladder match for the AAPW tag team titles. The Money Makin' Jam Boys were also promised a title shot as well. Therefore, if Allwardt could find a partner, he could still compete in the match for the now vacated titles.
