_All American Pro Wrestling is bodyslamming hunger this holiday season.
The Southern-Illinois based professional wrestling organization will be sponsoring a canned food drive at its Dec. 18 "Collision" TV taping at the Black Diamond Harley-Davidson Warehouse in Marion.
Fans who bring a canned or non-perishable food item to the show will receive $2 off the price of admission. Collected items will be donated to the Marion Ministerial Alliance.
"All American Pro Wrestling started as a way to help raise money for a family's medical expenses after a terrible fire," said Executive Producer Chris Hagstrom. "Giving back is something that AAPW has always done and will continue to do. But now we are finding other ways to help the community instead of just running a show to raise money. We plan on continuing to help organizations like Marion Ministerial Alliance and Midwest Animal Rescue Shelter yearround as both need the community's assistance to continue to provide care for the entire region."
The taping begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, with doors opening at 1 p.m. Tickets are a special price of $5 for adults and $3 for children.
"AAPW Collision" airs select Saturdays on WSIL-TV 3 in Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri and Western Kentucky. Past episodes can also be viewed online at http://vimeopro.com/aapw/collision. For more information on AAPW, visit aapwrestling.com.
