The fourth episode of "AAPW Collision" was one for the record books. This episode, emanating from SportsBlast in Carbondale featured the first defense of the AAPW Heavyweight Championship on "Collision." But before that match could take the main event spot, several other competitors stepped into the AAPW ring.
Seth Knight vs. Mike Masters
Masters entered this match coming off a loss to Curly on the debut episode of "Collision." His opponent, on the other hand, was carrying over the momentum of a victory in the main event of that same show.
From the beginning of the match, Masters found himself preoccupied with responding to his critics in the crowd. An attempt to attack Knight from behind proved futile, as Knight took control early on.
Masters rolled to the outside for a breather, but Knight soon followed, tossing Masters back into the ring and continuing his onslaught of offense. His luck couldn't last forever, though, and Masters gained control with a few good hits and began applying a few old-school submission moves of his own.
Masters' willingness to break the rules also helped him maintain his control, as he used his wrist tape to choke Knight behind the referee's back. As much as Masters tried, he couldn't keep Knight down on the mat. A high-risk move from the top rope missed and cost Masters his momentum.
Knight hit a dropkick off the top rope himself, but it seemed to take as much out of him as it did his opponent. Out of nowhere, Masters hit a DDT, but that still wasn't enough to keep Knight down.
A few moments later, Knight responded with his own move that seemingly came out of nowhere, and fortunately for him, it was his finisher and it took Masters down for the three count.

AAPW Executive Producer Chris Hagstrom and his commentary partner Kevin Hunsperger dropped a bombshell announcement in the ring, letting fans know that reigning Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards would be competing on "Collision" in two weeks time.
In the backstage area, Sam Smith talked with Curly about his upcoming match against Carnage, one of the largest men in AAPW. Curly said Carnage hides behind his mask because his face is so ugly it will scare the children in audience. But Curly has a child of his own, Curly Jr., who helped him prepare for this match. Before leaving for the ring, Curly dropped a bit of a rap, sure to entertain the fans watching at home.

Curly's words backstage must have resonated with Carnage, as the big man wasted no time in assaulting the AAPW Tag Team champion when he entered the ring. Curly recovered, though, and even managed to take Carnage over the top rope with a big clothesline.
Curly Jr. began taunting Carnage, and the big man went after the child. But dad stepped in and saved the day. It wasn't long, however, before Carnage regained control, using his brute strength to attack Curly's left arm. Carnage's pinfall attempts didn't seem to be enough at this point, as Curly consistently kicked out.
Carnage maintained control of the match for several minutes, keeping the focus on weakening Curly's arm. Curly's adrenaline kicked in, though, and eventually reversed one of Carnage's moves into a big spinebuster, leaving both men on the mat.
Curly got himself going with some stoogish behavior, and it seemed to work, as he lifted Carnage onto his shoulders for an airplane spin. He prepared the fingerpoke to the eye, which the referee allowed, and then hit a series of moves before attempting an unsuccessful pinfall.
In the end, an elbow drop from the top turnbuckle gave Curly the win, allowing him to prove himself a serious singles threat, as well as a tag team one with partner Heath Hatton.
Result: Curly d. Carnage
This brought the show to its main event, where "Old School Warrior" AxAllwardt would get his shot at the AAPW Heavyweight Championship.

Ax Allwardt vs. Edmund McGuire
History was made as the AAPW Heavyweight Championship was defended for the first time on "Collision." Reigning champion McGuire battled a fierce opponent in Allwardt, a veteran of the industry known for his old-school approach.
The two men battled in a fight for the ages, one that must be seen to be witnessed. Each man seemingly had the other's number at some point during the bout, but neither man could capitalize and capture the early victory.
Allwardt's manager Gaylord Stevens made his presence known several times during the match, applying his own underhanded tactics to help best the champion. His client would ultimately come up short, however, as McGuire hit his signature superkick and scored a clean pinfall.
Result: Edmund McGuire d. Ax Allwardt to retain the AAPW Heavyweight Championship
Allwardt's attitude seemed less than pleasing following the match, and this likely isn't the end of the war between these two men. Just what will happen next? The only way to find out is to stay tuned to "Collision."
